The New Town River area of Lake Sakakawea is wrapped in ancient, pristine scenery. Badlands extend right to your rod tip with petrified trees, coal, fossils and rock providing structure for the Walleyes. This area of Sakakawea is known as “The River” but it is way more than a river. It is a walleye destination that is still undisturbed, undiscovered, and most importantly under-fished.
